FAITH IN ACTION

ONE cannot grow in Righteousness. He may grow in Righteousness Consciousness, but he already is the Righteousness of God in Christ. One cannot grow in sonship. One may grow in sonship consciousness and learn to enjoy his privileges and rights in the family. We can grow in Grace. Grace is the first fruits of love. Grace is love bearing fruit.
“I am the vine; ye are the branches.” The vine is love, the fruits are grace. We are the grace of God unveiled. We are sons of God, and as such we grow in fruit bearing. We increase in usefulness. We can grow in gentleness, in tenderness, in the beauty of the Master. We may grow in love.
Our love at first has little selfish streaks through it. It is marred again and again, but we keep studying the Word, keep fellowshipping with the Master, keep walking in love until by and by love gains the absolute supremacy in our lives, so that we only do love things, say love words. We are growing in love. We steadily move on up in our growth until we actually believe in love. We believe that love is the solution of every problem in life. We believe that love is better than force, better than going to law, better than the whip, better than argument, better than fighting.

We believe that the love way is the sure way, the success way. When Jesus said, “I am the way,” He meant He was the love way. This new way is the best way. We grow in knowledge of our Father and of our rights, of the finished work of Christ. Then we take wisdom to use this knowledge. We do not grow in wisdom, for Jesus has been made unto us wisdom. We grow in the ability to use knowledge wisely. You cannot grow in Redemption. You may grow in the knowledge of what that Redemption means. You may grow in fellowship. You may grow in faith. Your fellowship will be measured by your personal sharing with the Master and with one another the riches of His grace.
Faith is a tender plant. It cannot stand the harsh winds of Sense Knowledge. It cannot be crowded out of its seat and out of its place without suffering. It must be fed continually upon the Word of God and upon our acting on that Word. Simply reading the Word, meditating on the Word, will not build faith. It will build a capacity for faith, but faith is only built when that Word becomes a part of our daily use, our daily conduct – a part of our daily speech. As faith grows, Satan’s dominion over us wanes. Circumstances are less formidable. Fear is destroyed. As your faith grows, you begin to possess your rights in Christ. You begin to take what belongs to you.
At first, you take the things over that you have merely hoped for before. You have hoped for money, now by faith you have it. A second thing, you begin to enjoy what you formerly “mentally assented” to. You have said, “Yes, by His stripes I am healed, but I am sick.” You have agreed with the Word, but you have not acted upon it . . . you have merely assented to it. Now you have reached the place where you no longer hope for it, but you look up and say, “Father, I thank Thee that I am what you say I am.”

What you have mentally assented to, you now possess. Believing is possessing. What you assented to for years, you now enjoy. Faith grows in the atmosphere of confession of the Word. We are not speaking of confession of sin. It is our confession of what we are in Christ, what Christ is in us, and what the Word is in our lips. The Word in your lips becomes a living thing, just as the Word in Jesus’ lips could rule the sea, the winds and the waves (even the fish in the sea), so His Word now in your lips will take the place of Christ on earth. There is a sick one. The Word in your lips now will take the place of Jesus. If Jesus were here, He would say, “Son, you are healed.” You say, “Son, by His stripes you are healed.” You are using His Word. That is your confession, that His Word now has become the healer in your lips.

There is another one who is held in bondage by Satan. You remember what He said, “They that believe shall cast out demons.” Fearlessly you speak the Word, “Satan, in Jesus’ Name leave this person. Go off into the abyss where you belong.” You are quoting the very words of Christ. Your lips become the pulpit of Jesus Christ. Faith grows with this confession. Faith is no greater than your confession. Everytime you break the silence caused by fear with an open confession of the integrity of the Word, and you act on the Word, you destroy the very roots of fear and unbelief in your life.
Fear and unbelief grow with confession, the same as faith grows with it. You confess that you are sick, and unbelief grows in you.
If you confess that you have been prayed for and have not received your healing, you are confessing that Satan had made the Word of God ineffective. And we know, “that nothing is impossible to the Word of God” in our lips. That is a literal translation of Luke 1:37, “No Word from God is void of power.” It makes no difference what the environment is, what the association, the limitations, the mental attitude of folk; here is the Word that liveth and abideth, the Word that cannot be broken, the Word that said, “Let there be” and there was, and the sun, moon and stars leaped into being. The Word has not lost its ability. Its ability is measured by its Author’s ability.
His Word is full of creative ability now. He lives in His Word. His Word has given life to creation; to man, and to the animal and vegetable creation. “In Him was life (that was the Word) and that life has become the light of men.” John 1:4. You understand that faith, in the sense we are using the Word, is letting the Word of God function through you. It is the Word of God doing business. Matt. 19:26 “And nothing is impossible to God.” Mark 9:23 “All things are possible to him that believeth.” There has come the union of man with God. God’, ability has been linked with man’s inability and has swallowed it up. His, very weakness is God’s opportunity. “When I am weak, then am I strong.”

“Nothing shall be impossible unto you.” God is speaking in person to you. Just as food rejuvenates the body, so the Word rejuvenates faith in our spirits. When will we ever learn that He and His Word are one. He is the surety of the New Covenant. He watches over His Word. He lives in His Word. His ability is in His Word. It is Jesus speaking through your lips when you use the Word. Let us think of the vine for a moment again. You are the branch, the miracle bearing part of the vine. You and the vine are one.
You are the miracle part of the body of Christ. The fruit grows on the branches. Love fruit, healing fruit, grow on the branch. We are sharers with Him and the bearers of His fruit.
Your fruit bearing is the measure of your confession. Your confession determines your faith life, so hold fast to your confession in the face of all opposition. They cannot conquer you. You are the unconquerable one. Remember that your lips give expression to your faith. Your words are your faith. You say, “I believe; I have.” Then you thank Him for it. You do not need to see or hear or feel. The Word is your evidence. He says you are, and because He says you are, you are.

Hallelujah

My Confession Gives Me Possession

Faith is governed by our confession. If I say I have been prayed for and I am waiting now for God to heal me, I have repudiated my healing.
My confession should he this: the. Word declares that I am healed, and I thank the Father for It, and I praise Him for it, because it is a fact. You remember Phil. 4:6,7 “In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.”

Why must prayer be made with thanksgiving? That means that I know the thing is done. I asked for it and now I have it, so I thank the Father for it. The seventh verse says, “And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, will fill my heart.” I am not worrying any longer. I have it. I am not going to get the money I need . . . I have it. It is just as real as though it were in my pocket. I am not going to get my healing . . . I have my healing because I have His Word, and my heart is filled with rapture. Your confession solves the problem.
A wrong confession hinders the Spirit’s work in your body. A neutral confession is unbelief. It is just as bad as a negative confession. It is the positive, clear-cut confession that wins. “I know in whom I have believed.” “I know that no word from God is void of power or fulfillment.” “I know that He watches over His word to make it good.” These are the confessions of a victor. I want you to notice several facts about the relation of confession to faith. Your confession is your faith. If it be a neutral confession, you have neutral faith. If it is a negative confession, it is unbelief dominating your spirit.
Unbelief grows with a negative confession. A confession of failure puts failure on the throne. If I confess weakness, weakness dominates me. If I confess my sickness, I am held in bondage by it. These negative confessions are acknowledgments of Satan’s dominion over God’s tabernacle. Your spirit always responds to your confession.

Faith is not a product of the reasoning faculties, but of the recreated spirit. When you were Born Again, you received the nature of the Father God. That nature grows in you with your acting on the Word, and your confession of the Father’s perfect dominion in your body, and it causes your spirit to grow in grace and ability.
You remember that your confession is your present attitude toward the Father. In some special testing that may come to you, your confession is either in the realm of faith or in the realm of unbelief. Your confession either honors the Father or Satan … either gives Satan or the Word dominance in your life. Now you can see the value of holding fast to your confession. Your confession either makes you a conqueror, or it defeats you. You rise or fall to the level of your confession. Learn to hold fast to your confession in the hard places. John 8:36, “If the Son has made you free you are free indeed.” The Son has made you free, now stand fast in that liberty.
Gal. 5:1 is of vital importance to every believer. “For freedom did Christ set us free; stand fast therefore.” The time to make your confession is when Satan attacks You. You feel the pain coming in your body. You repudiate it. You command it to leave in the Name of Jesus. Romans 8:31-37 “If God is for us, who is against us” Your Father is for you. Disease cannot conquer you, nor can the author of disease. Circumstances cannot master you, because the Father and Jesus are greater than any circumstances. You have learned that in whatsoever circumstance or condition you are, to rejoice in your continual victory.

You know that 1 John 4:4 is true. “Ye are of God, my little children, and have overcome them.” Notice who you are. “You are of God.” “You are born of God.” You are a product of His, and of His own will He brought you forth through the Word. The rest of the verse reads, “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” “For it is God who is at work within you, willing and working His own good pleasure.” Phil. 2:13 has been my victory many many times. Now turn to Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, He that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through His Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
You must recognize this fact. All is yours by confession, or all is lost by a negative confession. You get God’s best by the confession that you have it. The secret of faith is the secret of confession. Faith holds the confession that he has the thing he desires before he actually possesses it. Sense Knowledge faith confesses that he is healed when the pain leaves and the swelling goes down. There is really no faith in that.
Faith declares you are healed while the pain is still racking your body. Let me state it again, possession comes with confession.

There is power in your Confession.

Empowered for Purpose

Acts 9:18 (NLT): “Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized.”

Proverbs 19:21says, “Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.”. This certainly rang true for Saul’s life.” He was extremely diligent and determined to rid the world of the Christian faith until he had a supernatural encounter with Jesus. Then everything, including his name, dramatically changed! Throughout scripture and history, God encountered men and women, changed their perspectives, and set them on course for His purpose for their lives. When Saul met Jesus, he was introduced to the very Person he was bent on persecuting. Talk about a drastic change of perspective. The Bible says Paul was instantly blinded for three days. In that time, Jesus not only manifested Himself to Paul, He revealed His plan for his life, and let him know how much he would need to endure and suffer for His sake. That’s why God sent Ananias to Paul, to lay hands on him, not only to have his sight returned, but to baptise Him in the Holy Spirit! .

Like Paul, and so many men and women who did great exploits for God , we are never equipped to successfully achieve God’s purpose for our lives without the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He authorises and empowers us to significantly impact this world as we yield to His leading and flow in His supernatural power. Yield yourself to the fresh infilling of His power today and walk in the fullness of His purpose for you.

ROYAL ROBE

Isaiah 52:1(AMPC), “Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for henceforth there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean.”

When Jesus rose from the dead, He arose victoriously! He conquered death, hell and the grave for us! He didn’t just conquer and retain victory, He gave us that same authority and power over all things. In 1Peter 2:9, God calls us His royal priesthood. The word priesthood here has two meanings: Firstly, it refers to the power and authority of God. Secondly, in mortality, priesthood is the power and authority that God gives to man to act in all things necessary for the salvation of God’s children. God called us to this assignment, long before we had the sense to respond to Him, and He has given us everything we need to fulfil the purpose He has called us to. We are to influence this world with His kingdom ways, and push back the kingdom of darkness, enforcing the devil’s defeat. The call has gone out and whenever God commands us to do something, He authorises and empowers us to do it. He literally transfers His power in and on us to accomplish what He says we are to do. Choose this day to put on your glory clothes! Put on your royal robes of strength, as you walk in the power and authority He has given you to call those things that are permissible in heaven to be here on the earth; and to forbid on earth what is forbidden in heaven! This is your purpose.

FURNISHED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK

Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV): “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Living by faith is a choice. It’s where we decide to depend completely upon the Lord, standing strong and courageous in Him and the promises of His Word. There is nothing haphazard about this approach, rather it is laser focused and passionately intentional. When we choose this attitude, we deliberately oppose the spirit of fear, and operate in a sound mind that’s rooted in the truth of God’s word. The love of God floods our hearts and minds giving us an undeniable confidence in Him and His faithfulness towards us; which releases His power to flow in and through us – as we think, speak, and act from the conviction of our spirits! It’s in His presence where we are supernaturally refreshed and empowered by His Spirit, and where our spirits are built up and nourished by the truth of His Word. As we learn to intentionally depend more and more on the Lord, we will find His righteousness, peace, and joy, dominate our lives and overwhelming victory is assured. Enjoy meeting Him in the secret place and learn to abide in Him continuously – this is how we become furnished for every good work He has already planned for us to accomplish.

VIOLENT FAITH

Matthew 11:12 (AMPC): “And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize – a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].”

In Mark 11:24, Jesus said that when we pray for anything and believe that we have already received it, it will be ours. The word, “receive”, is translated, “lambano” in Greek. It speaks of taking something by force, or to seize something with a very strong grip that cannot be shaken off. A true follower of Jesus Christ should be marked by their aggressive, unwavering faith that refuses to back down, or accept anything less than what is promised. Pure faith is based solely on what the Word of God says, never on opinions, circumstances, or feelings. Although God had promised the Israelites of old, a land that would be theirs, they refused to enter into the land and take possession of it. It took Caleb and Joshua, filled with aggressive faith to stand before the doubting people and say, “Let’s go up at once and possess it; for we are well able to conquer it”. There is nothing stopping us from operating in the same fearless, aggressive faith Caleb and Joshua operated in. Just align your heart, thoughts, words, and actions with God’s – and refuse to entertain, or accept anything less – and you’ll be marked as someone operating in unstoppable, overcoming, conquering faith too.

HUMILITY

Acts 12:23 (NLT): “Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck Herod with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the Glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died.”

God is never intimidated by men’s success. Instead, He allows people to rise to great heights. King Herod became prideful and puffed up as he sought the praises of people. When he failed to give God the Glory that belonged to Him, Herod died. This is vitally important to understand for anyone who desires to be significantly used by God. The Apostle Paul grasped this principle, and continuously pointed the people towards God, making Him the recipient of their praise and gratitude. On one such occasion, in Acts 14:11, the people were so amazed at the miracles that occurred through Paul and Barnabas they hailed them as Greek gods and began preparing sacrifices to offer them. Paul immediately rebuked the people and reminded them that he and Barnabas were only vessels used by God to advance His Kingdom. It was their intimacy with, and obedience to the Holy Spirit that brought the manifestation of God’s power. Remember, humility that’s marked by total dependency on God, and a willing obedience to do His will makes people great in the kingdom of God. Taking His glory for ourselves always ends in our demise.

EXPERIENCE FAITH

Hebrews 11:33 (NKJV): “who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions…”

Faith is the gateway to influence this world with the reality of God’s kingdom without limits! In God’s kingdom there is no lack, sickness, depression or defeat. Faith is a place of complete trust in our covenant God, where we know He will honour His Word and we will see every one of His promises fulfilled in our lives, so we can do great exploits for Him! The moment He speaks into our spirits, and we act on what He says, our trust in Him to provide, heal, restore, and move every contradicting obstacle provokes the supernatural power of God to operate in every situation. First: His Word must speak into our spirits, so we believe it! Then we must act on that word. If we need financial provision, we give. If we believe for healing, we do something we couldn’t do before and keep thanking God for that healing. Whatever we believe for, we must act on it and not wait for a sign. We must move towards that thing in faith! Remember: faith is pure trust that once we’ve taken that step of obedience, it always leads to us experiencing God’s faithfulness to answer and meet every need. It’s that experience that builds within us a rock-solid confidence that cannot be shaken!

MY CONFESSION GIVES ME POSSESSION

I Want you to note this fact, faith is governed by our confession. If I say I have been prayed for and I am waiting now for God to heal me, I have cast off or repudiated my healing.
Faith declares you are healed while the pain is still racking your body. Let me state it again, possession comes with confession.

YOU ARE A SUPERIOR TO ALL FORCES IN THE WORLD

You are His Righteousness. That gives you access to the Throne at any time. You can stand in His presence just as Jesus did in His earth walk, because Jesus is your Righteousness. There can be no event so great but what His Wisdom and His Righteousness will enable you to meet it successfully. You see, when you become the Righteousness of God, that really makes you a Master of Circumstances. That lets you into the Inner Circle. That gives you the advantage of the Father’s Wisdom and Ability to put you over.

Satan cannot cope with the man who knows he is the Righteousness of God in Christ, who knows that Jesus has been made unto him Wisdom. That man is a Master man. You see, that leads you into the Superman Realm. Take account of stock for a moment. You have God’s very Nature in you. The old life that kept you in bondage has stopped being. The old self that was dominated by circumstances and by Satan has stopped being, and a New Self, a dominant Self, a Righteous Self, a God-filled Self has taken its place. You now have a legal right to the use of Jesus’ Name. Before the Master ascended, you remember He said in Matt. 28:18, “All authority has been given unto me in heaven and on earth.” That authority is for the Members of the Body. Jesus doesn’t need it. He and the Father are one, so all that the Father is, Jesus is. This authority was given to the Church. The ability to use that authority is given to us in the Holy Spirit. We not only have this authority, but we have the great Mighty Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwelling in us, and when He came into us, He brought all His Ability, the Ability that He exercised in the resurrection of the Master, the Ability that He exercised in Christ. It is all in Him. No wonder John said by the Spirit, in John 4:4, “Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.”

You see, we are dominant people. We have the creative Ability of God in us. No limit to where we can go. It is not only these abilities, but there are other abilities that are ours. “Of His fullness have we received.” Perhaps among the most important assets that we have is the new kind of Love. Jesus brought it into the world. When we are Recreated, that new kind of Love becomes our Nature. We become partakers of the Divine Nature, for the Father is Love. When that Love Nature comes in, it brings an element into a man that makes him a Master. When a man loses his temper, the person that caused him to lose his temper is superior to him in some way. He wouldn’t lose his temper if that person hadn’t outwitted him, out-generalled him in some way. Love makes us impervious to these influences, makes us a Master of them. We rise up in God, that is, we rise up in Love; we walk in Love; we live in Love, and that makes us Masters of every person that does not walk in Love. The unpleasant things that he does or says, we know are said by an inferior. Love never becomes irritated. Love never loses its poise; never loses its temper. It is Master of itself, and that makes it Master of every person outside of Love. This Jesus nature makes you a dominant personality, a Master personality. They can’t conquer you any more than they could conquer Christ. They may stone you; they may beat you; they may, because of numbers, take you captive, but you become their Master the moment you become their captive. It is a strange fact, but it is true. His Love Nature makes you a Master.

I want you to learn to believe in Love. I want you to learn to rest in it, to depend on it, to expect great things from it. You will not be disappointed. You remember that passage, “Ye are of God my little children.” That is I John 4:4, and then in John 3:5-8 Jesus said, “Except a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh.” Then He says another startling thing: “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Well, then you do not belong to the old order of things. You belong to this New Family, this new condition. You are a partaker of the Divine Nature. You are in the realm of Life with God, and you reign as a king in this realm of Life. You are a Master. What makes you a Master? The very nature of the Father that has come into you. This Love gift has made you superior to everything surrounding you.

BECOMING LIKE CHRIST

We become Christ-like in the measure that the Word prevails in us.
The mind is renewed by studying the Word and by acting upon it. One may study the Word for years, but if he does not act it, live it, is not a doer, the mind is not renewed. James gives us the secret in James 1:22, “Be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” Many Bible students are deceiving themselves because they are not acting, living, doing the Word. It is not only committing the Word to memory, which is valuable, but it is letting that Word become an integral part of our beings. It lives in us.

You understand that the mind cannot be renewed by the study of the Word. There must be a continual practice of the Word. The Word must live in me so that it becomes part of me. Just as my blood is a part of me, just as my muscles are a part of me, the Word must become a part of my very being.

The one who thinks that knowledge is all that is necessary will fail .
It is the doer of the Word, the man who practices it, lives it, walks in it, that builds it into his own life, whom God honors.
There is a grave danger of deluding our own selves .
We know the Word . We may be familiar with the original Greek or Hebrew. We may know the history of the Word, but that is all wasted energy if we do not live the Word, practice it.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV): “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”

Isn’t it interesting how our thoughts can set the path of our lives? The Bible teaches us that the mindset of an individual dictates who they are (Proverbs 23:7). That’s why the Word of God instructs us to set our minds on the Lord (1 Chronicles 22:19), and to keep them set on the things of the Spirit. Colossians 3:2 says, “And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.” That doesn’t mean we are to be ignorant of what is happening in the world around us, it just means we have make a choice regarding what we allow our minds to dwell on. Our thoughts are intricately connected to our emotions, which are powerful motivators. They will move us to act in line with them. If our minds are permitted to dwell on discouraging things, we will be swept into the downward spiral of despair. But if we choose to meditate on the truth of God’s Word – the life and peace that it carries will lift our spirits and move us to act as people who are victorious and full of hope. The Apostle Paul instructs us to continually renew our minds to the truth of God’s word, as our reasonable service – it’s what is expected of every believer in order to live the transformed, kingdom life we were saved into! So keep your thoughts in the right place and your life will follow course.

NEW CREATION REALITIES

It Is Finished

God has done all that he could do in our redemption. He gave His only begotten son as a substitute for our sins.
His finished work meets every need of man. When He planned our redemption, it covered every need.
He knew what was required.
He furnished a redemption that utterly met the need of every man.
He perfectly satisfied the claims of the Supreme Court of the Universe against outlawed man.
Since the Son has done that work for Him, He now stands ready to make good on all the promise in order to meet our faith for every need.

He has provided a perfect Redemption for Spirit, Soul and Body.
He has provided a perfect Redemption for us so that we may stand in His Presence though Adam had never sinned.
He not only justified His own right to create man in the face of the face that He knew that man would fall, but He has gone beyond that in making it possible for every disease to be healed, every weakness to be turned to strength, all power of Satan nullified, and to stand in His presence a righteous perfect being, an absolute New Creation created in Jesus Christ.
He became Incarnate, took upon Himself our limitations as a man, lived among us, and then permitted Himself who knew no sin, to be made sin for us.
He became sick with our sicknesses; He became weak with our weaknesses.
He was an outcast, and became a part of all that we were, becoming Identified with all our weaknesses, sickness and diseases.
Then He bore our sins and diseases away and suffered until every need of man was fully met.
Then God justified Him, because He had met the demands of the human race in His sufferings.
After being Justified, He was made alive in the Spirit.
Then He met the Adversary, conquered him of his authority and dominion, and arose form the dead.
Then He carried His blood into the heavenly Holy of Holies, poured it out before the Father on the mercy seat, and made an eternal redemption for us.
All that Jesus did, He did for us.
His work is absolutely perfect.
On the ground of the work, any man can stand right with God; any man can be healed from all his diseases.
Satan’s dominion over the New Creation is utterly broken.
To Jesus was given the authority that Adam forfeited, and with that restoration there was given to Him added dominion and power because of what he had done for the salvation of the human race; that authority and dominion has been given to us in the legal use of His name.

We do not know what that part was in redemption except that we see a glimpse of it here and there.
We know that it was the Holy Spirit that gave Jesus strength and courage to offer Himself on the cross.
We know it was the Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead.
We know that the Spirit did all that was expected of Him to do, and that He stands ready to make good in every one of our lives all that God wrought for us in Christ, to pour the very life and nature of the Father God into our mortal bodies and actually swallow them up in life

DEMONSTRATE THE GOSPEL

1 Corinthians 2:4(NKJV): “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power”

As Kingdom ambassadors we are called to demonstrate the Kingdom of God with power. Being a carrier of the power of God is what sets the church apart in this hour. For many years the church has majored on becoming like Jesus in character, far more than becoming like Him in power. While been known as good natured, honest and reliable people is noble; it’s just as important to be known as people who pray for the sick and see them healed, and pray for those who are oppressed – and see them delivered. We must be known as people who can snatch those who are going to hell out of the devil’s grasp and pull them into the kingdom of God! When we encounter the tangible presence of God, we are not only transformed to have a heart after His Word – that brings change to our characters – but we are enabled to demonstrate His kingdom power too! God didn’t just authorize those in five-fold ministry to do the full works of Jesus – He authorized every Believer! If Jesus Christ is your personal Lord and Saviour, and you have been baptized in the Holy Spirit – begin to educate yourself on what you have been authorised, and mandated to do. Commit to a church or ministry that will teach and equip you to walk in the full authority every believer is meant to walk in. Become a carrier of the character and power of God, permitting you to demonstrate the full Gospel of Jesus Christ!

REASON FOR CREATION

Until we know why God desired to create man, we do not know the reason for creation.
Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The word “God” in the Hebrew is “Elohim.” This word is plural, revealing the Trinity at work in creation. John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:16 reveal that Christ had a major part in the great acts of creation. Psalm 104:30 and Genesis 1:2 show the Holy Spirit’s work in creation. The Trinity lies hidden throughout the Old Testament. Many Jews who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour have testified that one of the factors causing them to realize that Jesus was their Messiah, was that they glimpsed, hidden in the Old Covenant, the Trinity.

Israel, however, did not know who composed the Trinity. Not until Jesus Christ, the Living Word, was manifested in flesh, did man know that the Trinity consisted of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In His ministry of teaching, Jesus Christ revealed the Father-God.
On several occasions in the life of Jesus Christ, the Trinity is manifested to man’s senses. One time is at the baptism of Jesus, recorded in Matthew 3:13-17.
When Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit appeared in the form of a dove, descending upon Christ, while the Father spoke in a voice from heaven, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 28:19 reveals the Trinity as being the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
From this we can understand that in the beginning the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit created the heavens and the earth. You see, He was in the beginning a Father-God. In eternity He had a Father-nature. We can understand a father’s love and desire for children. Our civilization is built around this fact, for the home is the basic unit of society.

Ephesians 3:14-15 reveals that the human father is just a type of the Father-God. The human father’s love exists because in eternity God was essentially a Father-God.
It is natural that the Father-heart of God should long for sons and daughters. This yearning passion took form, and God planned to create a man who would walk with Him as His child. Ephesians 1:4, 5 (Rotherham), “According as He made choice of us in Him before the founding of the world, that we might be holy and blameless in His presence. In love marking us out beforehand unto Sonship through Jesus Christ for Himself.” Before He created a world, in His dream plan, man was marked out for Sonship. He was to hold the place of a son in the Father-God’s love. He was to be the answer to the Father’s hunger for children.
Other scriptures that reveal that man was the reason for creation are: Romans 16:25 and I Corinthians 2:7. These scriptures reveal that man was chosen for the place of a son first, then God created this universe to be a home for him. We often list the attributes of God: His Omnipotence, His Omniscience; but we have over- looked the fact that He is first a Father-God.

The reason for creation is the Father-heart of God.

A few scriptures that reveal the Father’s care for His children are : Matthew 7:11; 6:8; 6:25-32; John 16:27; 17:23; I Peter 5:7; Philippians 4:6, 7, 19 and John 14:23.
Satan has been very subtle in blinding our minds to the Father-nature of God. The average Christian has had no real consciousness of God as being his Father. This ignorance has been due to the fact that our minds have not been renewed by the Word of God. Romans 12:1-2 and Ephesians 4:23. Here we see the importance of the study of the Word.
Sense Knowledge has taken the place of the Word of God in our lives. Jesus Christ has been manifested to man’s physical senses. I John 1:1, 2, “That which we have handled concerning the Word of Life.” Jesus Christ took upon Himself a human body through which He was manifested to man.
Man’s mind derives its knowledge through the senses of the physical body. The Father has never been manifested to these senses, as He is a Spirit being; therefore man’s mind can form no mental picture of Him.
When a man has been born again, past sense knowledge of the life of Jesus Christ has taken the place that the Father should have had in his life. Because man could form a mental picture of Christ, he has developed the habit of praying to Christ, praising and worshipping Him alone. The renewing of the man’s mind by the Word of God, brings a consciousness of the Father to him that revolutionizes his life.

The Attributes of God

In this revelation, the Father nature of God has been revealed to us at creation. There are two other laws of His being revealed here : one is that He is a Faith God, and the other, that He is Love. Love caused Him to create a universe, and He created it by Faith. He works by Faith in His Word.
In the first chapter of Genesis there are six creative faith statements. Hebrews 11:3 reveals that God created this universe through faith in His Word. It was through His spoken Word that creation came into being.
